Recorded at San Diego's Strate Sound Studios in 2006, Woodrush's first album, "So Far From Home," features ten fan-favorites, including "Road Trippin'," which won Best Acoustic Single in the 16th Annual LA Music Awards, and the title track, "So Far From Home," which was the 2nd-place Winner for the 2006 International Acoustic Music Awards.
People are always asking the band, "When are you gonna put out a new album?"
After several false-starts in the studio, Woodrush decided to take a more old-school approach to the recording process. The guys set up in Kelly's garage, a la the early years, and recorded direct to an 8-track recorder exactly as they would perform a live show, and they've already turned out a more natural representation of the band's live sound than any of those false-starts in the studio.
Will these tracks end up on the next album? Will they simply be the next album? We're not sure yet, but they sound so good to us, we've decided to give you all a sneak peek. (Shh, don't tell the guys!)
